Richard Bärnthaler
Richard Bärnthaler is currently living in Vienna. He was a student in the Regional Academy in 2015/2016 and continued his involvement in the Academy as a PEER+ in 2016/2017. Richard is a member of the coordination team since 2017 and responsible for the coordination of the PEER+ system. He holds a master's degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy (MSc). Currently he is completing a master's degree in History and Philosophy of Science (MA) and working at the Department of Development Studies (University of Vienna) in the field of transdisciplinary research, as well as at the Institute for Multi-Level Governance and Development (Vienna University of Economics and Business) on topics related to the theory of science, social cohesion, and the commodification of public spaces. Richard also studied in the USA (Bentley University) and Japan (Hitotsubashi University). His research interests focus on the sociology of (scientific) knowledge, relativism, pragmatism, social epistemology, and political philosophy.
